Working primarily with soft pastels and oil paint, Helena creates dreamlike worlds that feel both otherworldly and deeply familiar. Her work isn’t about depicting a place so much as evoking a feeling: a sense of stillness, belonging, and gentle return.

Haejin’s work moves between reality and dream, the conscious and the subconscious. Her paintings often center on women—both familiar and unknowable—situated in intimate spaces like bathrooms or bedrooms. The imagery is rich with symbolism: liquid, veils, reflections, and flowers appear again and again, suggesting transformation, privacy, and the shifting boundaries between one’s inner and outer world.

Michelle’s work is fluid and expressive, yet grounded by form. Inspired by elemental dynamics like erosion, turbulence, and flow, her pieces often feel like captured energy: sweeping gestures, atmospheric layers, and gestural marks that seem to hover between intention and impulse.

As a self-taught artist, Valentina brings a raw honesty to her practice. She speaks openly about not having a formal art degree, and how that has allowed her to stay curious, experiment freely, and create without the pressure of rules.

Born in 1978 in the UK, Richard's artistic journey began in his mid-twenties while living in Cornwall. The expansive skies and tranquil landscapes of East Anglia (where he grew up) and now in North Norfolk (where he resides), deeply influence his work. He paints landscapes and still-lifes.

This month, we’re excited to introduce Vered Brett, an artist whose journey and philosophy deeply resonate with me. She, like many creators and builders, took a leap of faith: stepping away from a path that no longer felt right to pursue something she was truly passionate about.

Lolita Pelegrime is a talented artist who was born in Lithuania but has lived in Copenhagen since 2012. Drawing inspiration from the strong women in her life, she infuses their stories and experiences into her artwork, resulting in pieces that cut through with deep emotion. With a degree from the Art Academy of Vilnius and earlier training in ceramics at the Kaunas School of Applied Arts, Lolita’s artistic journey has been both rich and diverse.

Marissa Apstein is a contemporary artist based in New York City. She is known for her ability to take inspiration from the intricacies of daily life, mostly using oil paints and vivid colors to showcase narratives between the real and imaginary. When I first came across her work, I felt like I immediately knew her and the subjects of her pieces – because they seemed to represent all of us.

Meet Gisela A. Lazarte, an artist whose colorful and abstract paintings capture movement and embody freedom. She has an intuitive and highly personal creative process that results in these beautiful, welcoming abstractions of subjects both light and heavy, universal and unique. With a background in film and communication, she finds inspiration in human experience, movement, and sound.

Wencke Uhl is a Germany-based and self-identified "contemporary figurative paintress." She is inspired by human beauty, the female form, and fashion — in fact, teenage Wencke wanted to be a fashion designer. Her works "dress" women in fashionable and colorful printed fabrics, but they also capture the essence of today's contemporary, transformational times.

Sheida Shekarian is an illustrator who uses humor and narrative-based visuals to depict the human experience. Many of her drawings are detailed and complex scenes of people and creatures engaging in various activities. It is fun to look them over, slowly, and try to understand the characters and story unfolding.

Claudia is an emerging, multicultural artist who studied and practiced at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Tufts University) and the Art Students League of New York. Her artwork is largely influenced by her experience growing up between two countries and traveling often.

Caitlin is a multidisciplinary artist who received her Masters in Fine Art in painting from Bard College and her BA from the Slade School of Fine Art in London. Her works examine decay, growth, the passing of time, and the dynamics between humans and nature.

Julia Schwadron Marianelli is a talented painter who creates based on glimpses of color or texture she observes outside (or drags inside). She uses mixtures of oil, water-based paints, bleach, and charcoal to layer these observed moments over text-based abstractions, embedding imagery or pattern onto and into paper and other manipulated fabric surfaces.

Rita GT is a mixed media artist who integrates social messages and vibrant art. She profoundly shared with us these words when we first worked with her: “Once my work is done and shown, it doesn’t belong to me anymore. It’s the beholder that reads the work, since it’s a very subjective experience.”

Rosannagh Scarlet Esson’s art is the result of symbolic mixing and interacting of materials. She artfully oxidizes metal, exposes painted canvases to rain and flooding water, and adds texture with salt and ash, among other things. Rosannagh’s inspiration lies in her knowledge and beliefs about ecology, wilderness, and climate change.

Jessica Ticchio is an Australian 3D artist and the art director of a successful creative production studio, Studio Messa. As an undergraduate studying Design, she drew inspiration from MC Escher and Dali and started creating ‘trippy’ black and white illustrations (mostly portraiture). A few years later, she was introduced to 3D art and began creating vibrantly colored digital sculptures and dreamscapes. Most recently she has been active in the NFT community and selling on Foundation.

Jessica is an abstract artist, creating mixed media pieces that translate the narrative of her experiences through color relationships. Creating abstract art ensures that her pieces are approachable for all to experience in what she describes as a state of hyper-consciousness. And the subject matter behind each pastel-colored gesture is one aimed at bridging the gap between gender, politics, and other temporal characteristics so that viewers can strip away prejudicial labels and peer instead into practical wisdom and pure emotions of her work in a state of mindfulness.
